Experience deep relaxation and find your inner well of peace at this Yoga Nidra workshop.
Have you experienced Yoga Nidra? Or perhaps you’ve heard it referred to as deep yogic sleep? This ancient yogic meditation practice has been developed over thousands of years, and has been shown to help with symptoms of stress, anxiety and insomnia.
In a Yoga Nidra practice, you’ll lie comfortably on your mat with blankets and bolsters, and be guided through stages of awareness of your body, breath, intentions and visualisation, in a practice especially designed to bring you to that midway point between wakefulness and sleep – what is referred to as the ‘hypnagogic state’.
In our modern lives, when time is precious and pressure is high, Yoga Nidra allows us to cultivate a space to help alleviate the tensions arising from a racing mind, reach a deep state of rest and bring the body and mind back into a balanced state.
At the upcoming Workshop, you’ll learn more about this practice and how to integrate it into your daily life, and be led through a 60 min Yoga Nidra practice by Kiera, who has recently completed 110 hours of Yoga Nidra training at the Biomedical Institute of Yoga and Meditation in Brisbane. Workshop attendees will also receive a 20 min Yoga Nidra recording to take home with them for solo practice!
